Our Mission
At McMillian’s Ministries, we believe every person matters to God and every life has purpose. Our mission is to encourage people through God’s Word, strengthen them through prayer, and walk alongside them as they grow in faith. Whether you are celebrating a victory, carrying a burden, or searching for hope, our desire is to point you to the unchanging love, truth, and promises of Jesus Christ.
Get to Know Us
By the grace of God, we have been blessed to share twelve beautiful years of marriage. One of our greatest blessings is sharing life with our best friend—Max being Charlotte’s and Charlotte being Max’s.
We simply enjoy being together. We can sit at the breakfast table talking and laughing until it is almost time for another meal, or travel for hours while moving effortlessly from one conversation to the next. It is often the smallest gestures that mean the most. A bag of gummy bears or a pack of Bubblicious can say, “You were on my mind,” and that is more than enough to make either of us smile.
We are both public-school educators who share a passion for helping young people recognize and maximize their God-given potential. We understand many of the challenges facing this generation and pray that the Father of Lights will use us as vessels of hope, wisdom, healing, and freedom.
We are also ministers of the gospel. Max serves as pastor of Oak Grove AME Zion Church and senior leader of McMillian’s Ministries. Charlotte serves as First Lady and a local preacher at Oak Grove, as well as the visionary of Sister Strength Women’s Empowerment Group. We love God, we love His people, and we have made a vow to the Lord that we will not take back.
We are the proud parents of four wonderful children: Brittany and her husband, Leland; Chris and his wife, Taylor; Christian and his wife, Alvina; and Arianna. God has also blessed us to be Papa and Nana to ten amazing grandchildren: Abigail, Larkin, Rory, A’Karie, Caiden, Sir, Langston, Ellington, Carter, and Kayson. Our family is one of God’s greatest gifts to us, and our children and grandchildren bring immeasurable joy to our lives.
Our hearts’ desire is to love and please God through our everyday living so that others can see that ordinary people, surrendered to an extraordinary God, can do great things for His Kingdom. Whether you have known us for years or are meeting us for the first time, we are grateful that God has allowed our paths to cross. Walk with us as we continue fulfilling the Kingdom assignments He has entrusted to us.
